AW Maritime is excited to share our involvement in the Schnapper Point Boat Ramp upgrade, with construction having commenced in late March at Mornington, Victoria. Engaged by Mornington Peninsula Shire, funded by the Victorian Government Better Boating Fund, this project will revitalise the ageing boat ramp by increasing capacity, enhancing safety, and upgrading critical infrastructure that has reached the end of its service life.
Key upgrades include:
✅ Installation of two new finger jetties, providing increased tie‑up space and safer access to vessels
✅ Construction of a new 2 lane boat ramp for launching and retrieval
✅ A new DDA compliant lower landing, improving safety and access to vessels for everyone.
AW Maritime developed the project design, including detailed design of the new jetties and boat ramp, and the design of dredging works. Our scope also included assessment of existing conditions and the design of the upgraded ramp for a 50‑year service life. We’re proud to contribute to infrastructure that supports the local boating community and enhances access to the bay.
