AW Maritime has successfully delivered the detailed designed and construction supervision of a number of innovative boat launching facilities, including boat ramps and Travelift facilities for both small and large vessels.

  • Detailed design of a modular steel jetty

    AW Maritime completed the detailed design of a modular steel jetty to replace a damaged timber jetty at the North Road boat ramp in Brighton, Victoria. Our scope of services included detailed design of the jetty, an assessment of the local ecology and mitigation of any potential environmental impacts, and engineering services throughout construction.

  • Detailed design of a new two-lane precast concrete boat ramp and fishing jetty

    Working for the City of Greater Geelong, AW Maritime completed a detailed design of a new two-lane precast concrete boat ramp and fishing jetty.

  • Detailed design of boat ramp upgrade

    AW Maritime completed a detailed design of a $1.23 million upgrade to the Rye Boat Ramp.  The new boat ramp boasts an additional fourth lane and a new jetty, and the reconstruction of the existing three-lane ramp.

  • Detailed design of marine structures

    Detailed design of marine structures and hardstand area for the replacement of existing travel lift facilities at Hervey Bay with a new 300t travel lift, working in a D&C arrangement with Sydney Marina Construction Pty Ltd.

  • Detailed design of boat ramp finger jetty to provide all tide access for boat launching

    In a step away from convention AW Maritime, working together with contractor SMC, has designed an innovative jetty structure for Anderson Road, Cowes. The structure consists of prefabricated aluminium modules supported by HDPE sleeved monopiles, offering superior durability and ease of construction.

  • Boat ramp upgrade

    AW Maritime designed and oversaw the construction of the upgrade to the Port Albert boat ramp. The upgrade consisted of reconstruction of the existing two-lane boat ramp and construction of an additional new two-lane boat ramp. Works also included demolition of the old timber jetty and construction of two new floating pontoon jetties with fish cleaning tables and new lighting.

    Detailed design of an exposed boat ramp on the open Victorian coast near Mallacoota, including concrete ramp, timber finger jetty and navigation aids exposed to ocean swell.

  • Detailed design of a modular steel jetty

    Working for the Brighton City Council, AW Maritime completed the detailed design of a modular steel jetty to replace a damaged timber jetty at Half Moon Bay in Black Rock, Victoria.
