Demolition Plan and Structural Design for Rehabilitation of the Foghorn Building
The former Scend Shed, also known as the Foghorn Building, was perched on the sandstone clifftop at Point Lonsdale, near the lighthouse and its accompanying Foghorn Shed. Point Lonsdale forms one side of the entrance to Port Phillip Bay, opposite Point Nepean across the Rip.
AWM produced design drawings and structural calculations for the shed’s rehabilitation. These included a demolition plan, the design of the existing timber framework, and details for connecting a new roof to the structure.
